BOOKING CONDITIONS

Before booking, please satisfy yourself that you have been given adequate guidance as to the suitability of the cruise/trip. If in any doubt please contact us.

The normal minimum age is 16, unless specifically agreed at the time of booking.

Some information you give us will be electronically processed and used for administrative purposes in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1984.  See DGPR below:

Whilst on board the decision of the Professional Skipper is final.

Payments

A deposit of 25% or £90 (whichever is greater) is required at the time of the booking. Booking is confirmed on receipt of signed application form and deposit received.

Settlement must be made six weeks before the commencement of the cruise/trip; otherwise we reserve the right to re-sell the place.

Cancellations

The deposit is not refundable in the event of cancellation.

If we are unable to carry out the cruise/trip, we will reschedule an agreed date or refund the deposit or if applicable the full fee.

If you have to cancel for any reason, prior to six weeks before the starting date, we will refund any money paid, less the deposit.

If you have to cancel within six weeks of the start of the cruise we will make every effort to fill your place, but you remain liable for the full amount.

If we succeed in finding a replacement we will refund the fee less the deposit.

Insurance

Sailing North East, its servants, agents and employees are not under any liability whatsoever in respect of personal injury, loss or damage to effects howsoever caused, whilst attending any cruise/trip.

We strongly recommend you take out Travel Insurance to cover loss of gear, medical expenses, cancellation etc.

If you have any difficulty we may be able to assist.

Physical Fitness – medical

As our courses/cruises do have a physical element, you should have an adequate level of fitness. If you have a medical condition, e.g. epilepsy, heart condition, giddy spells, asthma, diabetes etc., you are strongly advised to check with both your doctor and us before booking.

Should you suffer from any condition you should disclose this information to us, this will not disqualify you from participation.

Financial information is only gathered when a reservation is made, and this information is held securely by our Business Bank - NatWest
Your privacy is important to us; therefore the data that you provide will be used only for the purposes intended.  We will adequately protect your personal data, taking the necessary measures to prevent loss, alteration or unauthorised access by third parties that may be used for purposes other than those requested by you. You have the right to access your data to correct or cancel any information. What we do with the information
Your information will only be used for the purpose for which it is intended.
We will never sell, distribute or give out your personal details to any third-party, organisation or individual outside of SNE Sail Training unless legally obliged to do so.

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. You may do this at any time by post or email.
Email Correspondence & Direct Marketing
When a booking is made or altered we will send you a confirmation letter by email. Gift vouchers and confirmation letters may also be sent to you by post. It is vital that our customers receive full booking information ahead of their experience with us and therefore by making a reservation with us all customers are agreeing to this information being sent in some format.  You will never be added to any marketing campaign without your consent.  You may be sent a thank you email after your experience with us, as well as a request for a review or feedback from ourselves.   We may also from time to time send information about further voyages or special offers. You may unsubscribe from these at any time.

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing and may have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions.
Media – Video & Photographs
We reserve the right to use video and photos of any customers (over 18 years old) taken on our sailing vessel.
